StageScore Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 8, 2026
The short version
StageScore collects nothing. It has no account, sends nothing to us or to anyone else, and keeps your music and everything you do with it on your device.
1. Who we are
StageScore is a sheet-music reader for iOS and Android, published by Backing & Score. This policy covers the StageScore app only.
2. What the app collects
- Nothing about you. No personal data, no usage logs, no analytics, no diagnostics, no advertising identifiers, no tracking.
- No account, no sign-in. There is nothing to register and nothing to log in to.
- No microphone. The metronome, page turns and Replay run on the device's own clock; the app never listens.
3. What stays on your device
Your PDFs, annotations, bookmarks, jump links, page order, labels, setlists, recorded page turns and preferences live in the app's own storage. To show page previews quickly, the app reads the PDFs you import and keeps their file timestamps alongside the previews, also on the device.
Backups are ordinary ZIP files. You choose where they go and whom you share them with; we never receive them.
4. Network
The app works offline and makes no network requests of its own. The only outbound action it can take is handing a link you tap in its About screen to your browser or mail app. Bluetooth page-turn pedals are read as a keyboard, through your device's own Bluetooth settings.
5. Children
Because the app collects nothing from anyone, it collects nothing from children.
6. Deleting your data
Everything the app keeps is on your device, so deleting the app deletes it. We hold no copy to delete.
7. Changes to this policy
If a future version of StageScore changes any of the above, this page will say so before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
